Early life
Maite Perroni was born in Mexico City, and raised in the city of Guadalajara from the age of eleven months. Her father, Javier Perroni, was job transferred to that Jaliscan capital, where the Perroni family lived for over twelve years. She has two siblings, Adolfo and Francisco (Paco), who are three and nine years younger, respectively, than she is.
Perroni studied acting in Televisa's Centro de Educación Artistica (CEA) in the year 2000, completing two years of a three year course.

Career
She made her debut as an actress in Rebelde, where she portrayed Guadalupe "Lupita" Fernández, who comes from a very humble family and gets the opportunity to study at the fictitious Elite Way School, one of the most prestigious schools in Mexico City, thanks supposedly to her excellent grades.
Perroni is a member of the popular band, RBD, which was formed during the recording of the series and became a phenomenon around Latin America, United States, and parts of Europe. The other members of RBD were also cast in Rebelde.
Recently, Maite composed the lyrics of a new song for RBD and its called "Tal Vez Mañana".[citation needed]
Today, Maite is recording a telenovela called "Cuidado Con El Angel", which is a history about a girl who is full of life although she is often tormented by something that happened to her in the past. She co-stars with William Levy, Laura Zapata, among others. In this new year of 2009 it's set that she will start on 2 more telenovelas and rumored to beging her first movie in hollywood.
She is the Spokesmodel for NYX Cosmetics.[1]
In 2007,Mattel made up a Barbie Doll version of Maite Perroni, Anahí and Dulce Maria. Today the doll is a success around at Latin America, United States and Europe.[citation needed]
Maite Perroni recently recorded songs for her soap opera Cuidado Con El Angel (Careful with the Angel). One is called "Esta Soledad", another is called "Separada de ti", and a third is called "Contigo".[citation needed]
Maite also has many solos with RBD and her own songs. Some of them are: "Cuando el Amor se Acaba" (When Love Ends), "Tal Vez Mañana" (Could Be Tomorrow) and "Empezar desde Cero" (Starting From Scratch). In March 2009 Maite won Best Young Actress in a Lead Role at the 27th Annual Premios TVyNovelas. This is Perroni's second Premio TVyNovelas, She previously won in 2006 along with her members of RBD for Best Theme Song for the hit telenovela Rebelde.

Personal life
Perroni was engaged to RBD band director Güido Laris, but their 3-year romance ended in August 2008.[citation needed]
